Growing up in Adelaide, South Australia, David Sprigg worked in the Family business as a Cabinet Maker before starting a wholesale retail business supplying Outdoor Furniture, Homewares & Glassware.
THE BBQ JOURNEY BEGINS…
In 2012 David was introduced to American Barbecue by someone who had just returned from the States. When researching the best American smokers and grills, David discovered Yoder Smokers, an authentic high end barbecue manufacturer (with a strong reputation) who were located in Kansas USA. David subsequently decided to import these handcrafted Barbecue Pits into Australia & New Zealand, at which time, Grill Pro Australia was established.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS…
With over 7 years cooking on Yoder Pellet, Offsets and Charcoal Pits, David Sprigg thoroughly knows these Barbecues inside and out, having spent many hours cooking American Barbecue, equipping him with a thorough background and extensive hands-on experience. David regularly visits the Yoder Smokers Factory in America and he’s also attended The American Royal, The Jack Daniels Invitational and Pitmaster Barbecue cooking classes hosted by Andy Groneman from ‘Smoke On Wheels’. David is a certified BBQ Judge with the Kansas City Barbeque Society and he has/continues to sponsor many Competition BBQ Teams in Australia.
